Music Centre Slovakia: Festival Allegretto Žilina Celebrates 35 Years

Allegretto Žilina International Festival is one of Slovakia’s long-standing classical music festivals. Its jubilee 35th edition will take place from 20 to 25 April 2026 at the Fatra House of Arts in Žilina. During six festival days, 11 performers from seven countries will appear – Japan, Lithuania, Serbia, South Korea, USA, Czech Republic and Slovakia. The festival will feature performances by the Slovak Philharmonic, the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, and the Slovak Sinfonietta Žilina. The programme will also include a concert featuring laureates of this year’s Slovak conservatory competitions, traditionally held in early spring.
