IAMIC
Code of Values
At the IAMIC Conference 2025 in Serbia, Belgrade, our members developed and workshoped our code of values together. Our Members adopted these values by unanimous vote at our General Assembly 2025, as binding commitments and guiding principles for our work together. They embody the spirit and culture of our international organisation and the diversity of our partners and their cultures.
Together, our membership has created a code of values which show that IAMIC is an organisation for everyone and supports our ongoing work in service to music, across the world.

IAMIC believes music connects people through our common humanity.. Together, we work towards a future shaped by creativity, justice, and connection, across all borders and differences.
IAMIC Core Values
Responsibility and Solidarity
IAMIC acts with cultural responsibility and care. We condemn the misuse of culture for oppression and stand in solidarity with members experiencing crisis, censorship, or instability. Our shared values guide decisions with a commitment to human rights, freedom, and ethical engagement.
Integrity and Independence
Our governance is respectful, and principled. IAMIC upholds the value of independent, values-driven cultural work, and stands with members committed to artistic and institutional integrity.
Diversity and Shared Responsibility
We are committed to democracy, and diversity in all its forms, such as: identity, geography, access, and opportunity. IAMIC is a space where all members are heard, respected, and able to take part in shaping the network.
Trust and Openness
Trust is the foundation of our collaboration. We foster a culture of open dialogue, mutual understanding, honesty, and generosity.
