Composition Competition
– Música Viva 2026
To encourage the creation, dissemination and diffusion of new electroacoustic works, Miso Music Portugal is organising the 27th edition of the International Electroacoustic Composition Competition – Música Viva 2026.
The competition is open to composers of any nationality or age, and each participant may submit one piece that has not been commercially published or awarded in any other music contest. The Música Viva 2026 Competition jury will award a €500 prize to one electroacoustic work, which will be performed by the Miso Music Loudspeaker Orchestra at the International Electronic Music Meeting at O’culto da Ajuda in Lisbon, in September 2026. The deadline for submissions is July 31, 2026.
