The Music Information Centre - Serbia was founded in 1983 by SOKOJ (Union of Yugoslav Composers` Organizations), at the same time with the Legacy of Serbian composer Josip Slavenski. The main purpose of MIC is to promote Serbian contemporary music, but also to preserve and charish musical inheritance. As of 1997 MIC functions independently from SOKOJ.

The Legacy of Josip Slavenski
MIC preserves composer’s work by taking care of the contents of the Legacy, editing CD-s with his music, organizing concerts, lectures etc.
The Legacy of Vlastimir Perichic
Founded at MIC on 7 December, 2007, on 80th anniversary of Perichic’s birth. This theoretician, musicologist and composer marked musical life in Serbia in the second half of the twentieth century.
