A prestigious festival introducing young performing artists in concert. Laureats of renowned international interpretational competitions in various European countries will be in contest for winning the Music Critics Award for the Most Engaging Performance of the festival.

On the March 2nd, 2009 took place in concert hall of the Conservatory in Bratislava annual concours to the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), one of the world’s most prestigious and dynamic Orchestras.

Slovak cultural institutions and organizations have scheduled numerous events in the 2008-09 to honor the centenary of composer, theoretician, and pedagogue Eugen Suchon, including concerts, theatre performances, conferences, and seminars, as well as the publication of new editions of Suchon's works.
These events have been featured in the UNESCO cultural calendar of anniversaries.

The Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic announces 2006 as Year of Slovak Music; 1st Alexander Moyzes International Competition for Composers to be held.
